A counsellor between you, not a judge over you
Baynana is a family counsellor for Muslim couples. It hears both of you before it offers a view, keeps the secrets of your home, and follows up with you until words become actions.
Reconciliation begins with an intention; success comes from Allah
There is no home that does not pass through moments of misunderstanding and strain. The difference is not whether disagreement exists, but what we do after it: a home that wants to mend things, where each of you listens to the other, or a home that lets the wound widen in silence. Baynana exists to help you with the first: to truly want reconciliation, and to truly hear each other. As for success, that is a promise from the One who is more merciful to you than you are to yourselves:
﴿إِن يُرِيدَا إِصْلَاحًا يُوَفِّقِ اللَّهُ بَيْنَهُمَا﴾ If they both desire reconciliation, Allah will bring it about between them.
Why not just ask any ordinary chat app?
Not because their answers are bad. Quite the opposite: today they are kind, empathetic, and sometimes useful. The problem is that even their best answer is only half the story.
- Wife
My husband has been silent with me for weeks. He comes home from work and says nothing, and if I ask, he says "it's nothing". I feel like I am living with a stranger.
- Chat app
I understand how painful that must be. Silence from a spouse can make you feel lonely even under the same roof. He may be under pressure at work and not know how to express it. Try choosing a calm moment to tell him how you feel, gently and without blame, and let him know you miss talking with him.
-
Husband No one heard from him
A kind reply. But half the story.
-
It heard one side only
It explained the husband's silence without ever asking him. Maybe it really is work stress. Maybe it is something else entirely, and only he knows.
-
Advice that fits any home
Because it does not know this home in particular: how the last attempt to talk ended, what is troubling him, or what the two of you are going through.
-
The conversation ends, and that is that
No one comes back to ask: did you talk? What happened next? No follow-up, and no one who remembers.
A real peacemaker does not guess about the one who is absent, but says:
Let me hear from him, then I will come back to you
That is exactly what Baynana does, and what no chat app does.
How does Baynana work?
-
Tell it what is troubling you
Speak freely in a private session that is yours alone. It listens and understands how you feel.
-
We hear the other side
It never judges your spouse in their absence. It either gently invites them into the conversation and takes turns between you, or goes to them itself, listens, and comes back to you. Every home has its own way.
-
We end with an outcome
Every session ends with something concrete: an apology, an agreement, a practical step. Then it follows up later: did what we agreed on actually happen?
Not just another chat
-
Hears both sides
A fixed principle: no opinion about someone who is not in the room. Reconciliation happens between the two of you.
-
Knows your home
It remembers your circumstances, your families, and what you agreed on, so you never have to tell the story from the beginning again.
-
Understands our faith and customs
It knows that marriage is a solemn covenant, a place of tranquillity, affection, and mercy; that family has its standing and the home its sanctity. No advice translated from a culture that does not look like ours.
-
"I need to talk about something", or "let it speak for me"
Open a hard topic gently: send your spouse an invitation to a calm conversation instead of dreading the first sentence. And if a joint session is not right yet, Baynana goes to your spouse itself: it raises the subject kindly and at a time that suits them, listens, and comes back to you with the result. It passes on only what you agreed to, and nurtures the good between you the way a wise peacemaker does.
-
Follows up and does not forget
It asks about promises a few days later, and checks in on you if you have been away a while, at the time that suits each of you.
-
A gentle whisper
Some sensitive remarks do not need a confrontation. It passes them to your spouse as general advice from the guidance of the Prophet ﷺ, with no embarrassment and no one named.
For us, discretion is worship before it is a feature
-
Your private words are yours alone
What you say in your private session is seen by no one but you. Not even your spouse.
-
The secrets of homes are not for sale
No ads, no selling data, no eyes on your conversations. Ever.
-
You are in control
Review what it remembers about you, correct it, or erase it whenever you wish. And if you say "do not remember this session", it will not.
We are building Baynana so that your privacy is an engineering rule in the design, not a promise on a terms page.
Questions on your mind
Does Baynana replace a shaykh or a family counsellor?
No, and it does not claim to. Baynana helps the two of you talk and understand each other in everyday life. When a matter needs a real scholar or specialist, it says so plainly and points you towards help. That is a trust it takes seriously.
Does it issue rulings on divorce and religious rights?
Never. Religious rulings belong to people of knowledge. Baynana’s role is to help you understand each other, not to judge between you in matters of faith.
What if my spouse refuses to join?
No one is forced into anything. Baynana stays with you, listening and helping you sort your thoughts, and the invitation remains open for your spouse whenever they feel ready.
Could one of us use it against the other?
Baynana is designed for exactly the opposite: it issues no verdicts about the absent spouse that could be waved around, and each person’s private words are kept for them alone.
If it goes to my spouse on my behalf, what will it say?
Only what you agreed on before it goes, word for word if you like. It raises the subject gently, listens, and comes back to you with where things landed. And it does not let that become a habit: if the same topic keeps coming up, it suggests you sit down together. The aim is to bring you closer, not to become a messenger between you.
